Just One Major Windows 11 Update Coming Next Year

The rollout of Windows 11 continues, with Microsoft still planning to complete it by the summer of 2022, but in the meantime, those who have already installed the new operating system are currently waiting for the very first feature update.

But as compared to the days when Windows 10 was a new product, Microsoft will use a new approach and instead of two feature updates, it will stick with a single such major release in 2022.

A report from Thurrott indicates that the Windows 11 feature update will go live in October, though in the meantime, Microsoft will continue to further improve and polish the operating system with cumulative updates that will land every month.
