Microsoft Accelerates Windows 10 Redstone 4 Development
Development of the next Windows 10 update codenamed Redstone 4 has already started, but Microsoft only released preview builds as part of the Skip Ahead channel that launched with limited seats.
But now that we’re only a week away from the moment when Microsoft is projected to give the go-ahead of the Fall Creators Update (Redstone 3), so development is complete, the software giant is planning to accelerate work on the Redstone 4 to the typical pace for a new Windows update.
First builds won’t include breaking changes
The company announced in a post that insiders in the Fast ring would start getting Windows 10 Redstone 4 preview builds as soon as today, recommending devs working with Windows Mixed Reality headsets to update settings before the first build is shipped.
