Microsoft Edge Crashes When Users Type in the Address Bar, Fix Already Available
A bug in the latest version of Microsoft Edge causes the browser to crash when users type something in the address bar, but the good news is that Microsoft moved super-fast this time and a fix is already available.
More specifically, whenever you moved the focus to the address bar and presses a single key on the keyboard, the browser just crashed.
By the looks of things, the whole thing was caused by the search suggestion engine, which is triggered automatically when users begin typing in the address bar. And when the first key is pressed and the system technically begins displaying suggestions, the browser just crashes.
Microsoft confirmed the problem on Twitter, explaining that the easiest way to deal with the issue was to disable search suggestions.
