Microsoft Launches the First 2022 Microsoft Edge Dev Build

Microsoft has just released the very first build of Microsoft Edge Dev of the year, as the company continues the work on polishing the browser on all platforms.

This is also the first build of version 99, and this means that Microsoft Edge 98 will soon be moved to the beta channel, therefore making an important step towards the full release to the production channel.

What’s new in Microsoft Edge Dev build 99.0.1131.3

As for what’s new in this new update, there are several notable additions, including an option to manually set which profile certain websites from edge://settings/profiles/multiProfileSettings.

At the same time, the software giant explains it has added an option in the right-click menu to open links in new Application Guard windows when this feature is enabled, as well as information in the Edge Bar settings page to tell what extensions might prevent the use of Edge Bar in the first place.
