Microsoft “Releases” a Surprising Windows 10 Video Editor App

A number of Windows 10 users have noticed a surprising appearance on their systems these days, as a shortcut to an app called Video Editor showed up out of nowhere.

Needless to say, this made many believe that Microsoft released a new video editing app for Windows 10, a thing which at some level makes sense, and the company preinstalled it on their systems, as it happened in the case of bloatware like Candy Crush Saga.

But as it turns out, this isn’t a stand-alone Video Editor for Windows 10, but only a shortcut that points users to the video editing options bundled into the Photos app.
