Microsoft Releases November 2019 Surface Firmware Updates
Microsoft has released the November 2019 firmware updates for two Surface models, including the recently-announced Surface Pro X.
Surface Pro X is Microsoft’s ARM-based Surface model, and it runs Windows 10 on ARM, the operating system that’s also installed on a few other devices from Microsoft partners.
With the November 22 firmware update, Surface Pro X receives plenty of improvements, including bugfixes for the SQ1 Adreno 685 GPU. Microsoft says this release addresses a bug breaking down the connection of an external monitor via USB-C.
Additionally, there are also improvements for Surface Pro X integration, with driver version 188.8.131.52 optimizing storage dump space utilization.
The firmware update brings a bunch of optimizations or the pen, enhancing the charging performance, but also the battery life.
