Microsoft Releases Update KB4505050 to Fix May 2019 Update Error

Microsoft has released a new update that’s supposed to resolve a bug introduced by the May 2019 patches and breaking down websites.

The issue, which was confirmed by Microsoft in all Windows 10 cumulative updates, Windows 7 and 8.1 monthly rollups, makes it impossible for users of Internet Explorer and Microsoft Edge (available on Windows 10 exclusively) to connect to pages.

“After installing the May 14, 2019 update, some websites that don’t support HTTP Strict Transport Security (HSTS) may not be accessible through Internet Explorer 11 or Microsoft Edge,” Microsoft explains.

This weekend, the software giant published update KB4505050 to resolve the bug on Windows 7 and 8.1 devices.
