Microsoft Releases Windows 10 20H1 Preview Build 18855
Microsoft has released Windows 10 build preview build 18855, which allows insiders in the Skip Ahead ring to try out the OS feature update coming to everyone in April 2020.
Needless to say, since we’re so early in the development stage of this feature update, build 18855 doesn’t come with any breaking change, as what Microsoft is trying to do right now is paving the way for new features that would be released later this year.
While you can check out the full changelog in the box after the jump, one notable change in this build concerns Notepad, as the app can now automatically restore unsaved content when Windows restarts for updates.
Notepad has improved significantly in the last few Windows 10 feature updates, and Microsoft seems very keen on embracing this approach in the long-term as well. Notepad continues to be a valuable application for many users, including for developers, so Microsoft has every reason to continue improving it.
