Microsoft Releases Windows 10 October 2018 Update Build 17758

Microsoft has released another preview build of Windows 10 October 2018 Update (internally codenamed Redstone 5) to insiders in the Fast ring.

Windows 10 build 17758 isn’t the final RTM build of the upcoming feature update, but on the other hand, it gets us closer to it, as Microsoft is expected to sign-off the final version sometime soon.

Build 17758 doesn’t obviously come with any new features, and the full focus is on fixing bugs and improving the performance of the operating system ahead of the public launch.

The official changelog of this build points to some updates to Storage Sense, but these refinements have been around for a while and are expected to be part of the October 2018 Update anyway – you can read the full release notes in the box after the jump.

What’s new in this build?

New Windows 10 October 2018 Update preview build fixes several crashes, including the ones occurring when trying to save a file from specific apps.
