Microsoft Releases Windows 10 Version 1809 Cumulative Update KB4469342

Microsoft has finally rolled out another cumulative update for Windows 10 version 1809 (October 2018 Update), nearly a month after the previous release that landed as part of the November Patch Tuesday.

Windows 10 cumulative update KB4469342 has been in beta testing for quite a while, and after being thoroughly tested by Windows insiders, it’s now available for everyone running version 1809 from Windows Update and the Microsoft Update Catalog.

There are lots of fixes in this update, and Microsoft has resolved several known bugs in Windows 10 version 1803, including a brightness issue that reset users’ preferences when the system rebooted.

Microsoft has also addressed the file associations issue in the October update, and a similar fix should be released to the other Windows 10 versions, including the April 2018 Update, on the next Patch Tuesday on December 11.
