PSA: New Windows 10 Cumulative Updates Just Around the Corner
We’re only a day away from the next Patch Tuesday cycle, and as it happens every month, the rollout will include Windows 10 cumulative updates as well.
Microsoft uses Patch Tuesday to fix security vulnerabilities in its software, and on Windows 10 they are bundled into cumulative updates.
By definition, cumulative updates include all the previously-released fixes, which means that if you install the latest version, your device becomes fully up-to-date, with no other patches required.
Windows 10 version 1909 getting patches too
All Windows 10 versions will get cumulative updates in December, albeit it’s worth knowing that for home users, only the May 2019 Update (version 1903) and newer are supported. For the rest of the versions, Microsoft ships updates either for Education and Enterprise SKUs or if devices are enrolled in the LTSC.
One notable addition to this month’s Patch Tuesday cycle is Windows 10 version 1909.
