What’s New in Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB3200970

Microsoft has just released new cumulative updates for Windows 10, including for the Anniversary Update (version 1607) which was released to users in August this year.

The cumulative update aimed at this release is KB3200970 and pushes Windows 10 version to 14393.447, bringing both security updates and improvements for the operating system and the pre-installed apps.

According to the official changelog, which you can read in full below, KB3200970 improves the reliability of multimedia audio, Remote Desktop, and Internet Explorer 11, while also fixing a bug that prevents users from connecting to a VPN.

Microsoft says that it also fixed a problem “with Windows devices that disconnect from the Internet prematurely before users can complete their paid Wi-Fi purchase” and a glitch impacting the system tray showing no Wi-Fi connection … (read more)
