What’s New in Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4054517

Microsoft rolled out new Windows 10 cumulative updates today as part of the Patch Tuesday cycle and naturally, the Fall Creators Update is one of the versions being targeted.

Windows 10 cumulative update KB4054517, which bumps version number to 16299.125, is specifically focused on security, so it includes patches for vulnerabilities in the Microsoft Scripting Engine, Microsoft Edge, and Windows Server.

Additionally, there are also several improvements, including updates for Internet Explorer that make the dedicated button to switch to Microsoft Edge more visible. This is the kind of improvement that’s more important for Microsoft than for users, as the company wants them to easily switch to the new default browser in Windows 10.
