Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4487017 Now Available for Version 1803

Windows 10 April 2018 Update (version 1803) remains the number one Windows 10 version out there, as the rollout of the October 2018 Update (version 1809) is still under way.

As one of the supported Windows 10 versions, the April update is getting a cumulative update today as part of Microsoft’s monthly Patch Tuesday cycle.

The update in question is KB4487017, which users on the April 2018 Update can install right now from Windows Update and increase the OS build number to 17134.590.

The first thing you should know is that cumulative update goes live on a Patch Tuesday, which is Microsoft’s security patching cycle. In other words, KB4487017 is specifically supposed to resolve vulnerabilities in the operating system and the rest of the components, including the Windows kernel, the Windows graphics component, and the Windows Scripting engine.
