Windows 10 Cumulative Update KB4507453 Keeps Asking for a Reboot

Cumulative updates no longer cause the same major issues as in the early days of Windows 10, but this doesn’t mean that everything is working exactly as expected.

Living proof is none other than the July 2019 Patch Tuesday cumulative update aimed at Windows 10 version 1903, or May 2019 Update, which keeps asking for a reboot despite the fact that the installation completed successfully.

As reported on BornCity, installing cumulative update KB4507453 seems to be working exactly as expected, with the update requesting a reboot to complete the process. Everything is working correctly after that as well, and Windows 10 boots to the desktop normally.
