Windows 10 Redstone 2 to Launch as “Creators Update” [Update: It's Official]
Microsoft is expected to discuss more details regarding its new Windows 10 update in a press conference in approximately one hour, and a new report claims that the company could also reveal the official name of Redstone 2.
Redmond has already started work on Redstone 2 and preview builds have already shipped to insiders, but Microsoft has so far been tight-lipped on everything related to the launch date and the name of the update.
While Redstone 2 is the internal codename, it appears that the final version shipping to users might be called “Creators Update,” as Brad Sams spotted today in an official description published by Microsoft in the store.
Microsoft itself says in the description of MSPaint, an app published in the store, that it requires Windows 10 Creators Update (build 14800 or greater), hinting that this is indeed the name that the company could use for the upcoming release.
