Windows Studio Effects Land in the Windows 11 Quick Settings
Microsoft’s most recent Windows 11 preview build for the Dev channel of the Windows Insider program comes with a feature that was actually spotted in the previous builds earlier this month.
It’s support for accessing Windows Studio Effects from Quick Settings, something that comes in handy to those who need to configure camera effects as fast as possible.
Given many of us are still relying on videocalls for important work stuff, the camera experience on Windows 11 needs to be as smooth as possible. And this is the reason Microsoft has focused on several improvements in this front, with the most recent Windows 11 preview build bringing Windows Studio effects right to the Quick Settings.
Starting with this build, when you click the Quick Settings icon in the taskbar, there should be a new Studio effects toggle – if it’s not there, you can enable the toggle from the Settings app itself where you configure the quick settings showing app in this screen.
