YouTube Not Working Correctly on Microsoft Edge
Microsoft Edge is rapidly becoming a widely-adopted application, not only because it’s the new default on Windows 10, but also thanks to actually being a worthy browser.
But this doesn’t necessarily mean there aren’t things to improve, and one of the features Microsoft is currently trying to figure out is a bug causing the app to crash when loading YouTube.
As spotted by TechDows, a problem reported several weeks ago caused Edge 90 to close unexpectedly when YouTube is loaded in the browser, and at the first glance, add-ons or third-party extensions aren’t the ones to blame.
So the culprit is possibly a browser component, and a Microsoft engineer has suggested disabling hardware acceleration to see if this helps.
Not everybody can get YouTube up and running in Edge with this workaround though, so Microsoft is actively investigating the issue and calling… (read more)
