How to Download and Install on PC
Soulmask is available on both Steam and the Epic Games Store for Windows 10 and Windows 11. Both versions are identical. If you buy before May 10, 2026, the Shifting Sands DLC is included free and added to your account automatically.

What is Soulmask?
Soulmask is an open-world survival crafting game developed by Campfire Studio and published by Qooland Games. It entered Early Access in May 2024 and launched its full 1.0 release on April 10, 2026. You play as a survivor whose soul is bound to a powerful ancient mask. That mask lets you possess any tribesman in your clan, stepping directly into their body, using their skills, and upgrading them from the inside.
The tribe is the center of everything. You recruit tribespeople, assign them roles, and develop their talents across a tree of over 871 options. Some tribespeople will be better fighters. Others will be better farmers or craftspeople. You can jump into any of them at any time through the mask, meaning you are never just watching your civilization grow. You are living it. Your automated production lines, farms, and workshops all run while you are in control of whichever body fits what you need to do next.

🎭Mask Possession System
Your ancient mask lets you jump into any tribesman at will. You fight, craft, and work through their body while building their individual skill trees. With over 871 talents spread across your tribe, each member can be developed into something different.
🏛️Civilization Building
Build from a small camp to a full automated civilization. Farming, beekeeping, weaving, smelting, and production lines all run through your tribe. You design the systems; your tribespeople keep them running.
🌍Two Game Modes
Tribe Mode puts civilization and resource management at the center. Warrior Mode turns up the combat, increases enemy density, and reduces survival management. You choose before you start, and both support multiplayer.
✈️Airships (Shifting Sands)
The Shifting Sands DLC adds airship construction with over 100 parts. Build sky bases, arm your ship with up to six weapons, and take part in airship PvP battles above the Egyptian desert. Sky bases work the same as ground bases: they are yours to design.
🌐Multiplayer and Private Servers
Official servers support up to 50 players. Private and dedicated servers can host up to 70. You can run PvP, PvE co-op, or LAN sessions. Server settings let you adjust difficulty, loot rates, and other parameters.

5 Tips for Your First Hours
Soulmask throws a lot at you early. These habits will save you time and frustration.
Pick Tribe Mode for your first run
Warrior Mode sounds appealing but it ramps up enemy pressure before you understand the systems. Tribe Mode gives you breathing room to learn how possession, talents, and automation actually work. Once you understand the game, Warrior Mode makes more sense.
Check tribesman talents before you assign roles
Each tribesman has different talents and likes that make them naturally better at specific jobs. Assign someone with farming talent to your fields and someone with combat talent to defense. Forcing the wrong person into the wrong role wastes a lot of progression time.
Do the tutorial before the main world
The 1.0 release added a dedicated tutorial mode. It is separate from the main game and covers the core systems in a low-pressure environment. If you skip it and go straight in, you will spend your first few hours figuring out things the tutorial teaches in 20 minutes.
Automate early and expand your workforce
The sooner you set up automated gathering and crafting, the sooner resources stop being a bottleneck. Assign tribespeople to gather wood, stone, and food on repeat, and focus your own time on exploration and combat. The whole point of the tribe system is that you should not have to do everything yourself.
Claim Shifting Sands before May 10 if you have not
The DLC is not something to save for later. It needs to be added to your account before May 10, 2026. You do not need to play it right away, but if you buy the game and launch it at least once before that date, it is yours permanently at no extra cost.
