The update also includes new visual animations for the right edge gesture in Click to Do, which provide a clear visual cue as users swipe and follow their finger. Additionally, the update introduces new and popular action tags to the context menu in Click to Do, making it easier for users to discover new and popular AI-powered actions.
The update also includes new emoji, introducing a small but thoughtfully curated set of new emojis that resonate across cultures and contexts. Each emoji carries timeless symbolism and practical versatility, and users will be able to access them in the emoji panel.
In terms of gaming, the update includes improvements for using Xbox game controllers on Windows 11. Short pressing the Xbox button now opens Game Bar, while long pressing the Xbox button opens Task View. The update also addresses an issue that affected audio in apps using the Network Device Interface (NDI), which caused audio to stutter when Display Capture was on in OBS Studio Application.
The update also includes several improvements to Narrator, designed to deliver a smoother and more reliable experience when working with documents in Word. These updates focus on making reading, writing, and editing more natural and efficient, and include features such as more natural voice feedback, better footnote navigation, and reliable continuous reading.
In addition to these features, the update addresses several known issues, including a bug that caused some PCs to bugcheck while hibernating and an issue that affected the reliability of the taskbar. Microsoft has also announced that Advanced Settings is rolling out again to Windows Insiders in the Dev and Beta Channels, although some options have been temporarily removed to address issues.
