Key Points

  • Windows 11 build 26340 now available in the Experimental channel.
  • New Cross-device resume options let you open links in the default browser or install the phone’s browser.
  • Narrator math reading support is added and Magnifier now respects each monitor’s zoom.

What is changing

In the Experimental channel, build 26340 adds a new Cross-device resume hovercard. When you resume a webpage from your phone and the phone’s browser isn’t on the PC, you can open the link in the PC’s default browser or install the phone’s browser for a native experience.

The same build adds Narrator math reading and navigation support, helping blind or low-vision users read equations naturally. Magnifier also now lets each screen keep its own zoom level, so one monitor can stay at 300% while another stays at 150% without the view spilling over.

Why it matters

This helps Phone-PC users who frequently switch between devices. They can continue browsing without first installing the phone’s browser on the computer, saving a step and reducing friction.

It also matters to Accessibility users who rely on Narrator and Magnifier. They gain clearer math reading and independent zoom per monitor, making multi-screen work more comfortable. Since these features are still in the Experimental channel, the impact is limited to Insiders for now.

Let us know in the comments if you’ve tried the new resume hovercard or the Narrator math features and how they work for you.
