Microsoft announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.5770 to the Dev Channel. For example, the build fixes an issue where clicking the date and time on a secondary monitor might open the flyout on the primary monitor, and an issue where explorer.exe might crash when using ALT + Tab.
The build also includes known issues that are being investigated, such as an issue where the Shared section in File Explorer Home may be visible even if there is no content to display, and an issue where Settings may get stuck when scanning files. Microsoft is also investigating an issue where audio stops working and Device Manager shows one or more devices with a yellow exclamation mark.
Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel can expect to receive updates based on Windows 11, version 25H2 via an enablement package. Many features in the Dev Channel are rolled out using Controlled Feature Rollout technology, starting with a subset of Insiders and ramping up over time as feedback is monitored. Insiders can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available via Settings > Windows Update.
