This innovative tool provides autonomous topology intelligence, transforming logs, configuration files, and network traffic data into real-time, autonomous semantic knowledge graphs.

According to Arun Subramaniyan, founder and CEO of Articul8, traditional network monitoring approaches often treat changes in the network as anomalies, when in fact they may be legitimate state changes. Weave addresses this issue by using passive topology analysis, which requires no additional agents or active network probing. The system ingests standard network logs, including WAF logs, configuration files, and time-series data, to provide the topology of the network.

Weave operates in cloud environments behind customer firewalls, eliminating the need for on-premises deployment and reducing security review cycles. Its technical architecture relies on a hybrid knowledge graph architecture, processing different data types through specialized analytical engines. This approach avoids forcing all network data through large language models (LLM), which can lead to accuracy concerns.

The core differentiator in Weave’s approach is its ability to distinguish between legitimate state changes and genuine anomalies in real-time. Traditional monitoring tools often treat both scenarios as deviations from baseline, requiring manual investigation to determine appropriate responses. Weave addresses this through temporal analysis, considering change patterns over time, and learns from network engineer feedback to build institutional knowledge about what constitutes normal operational changes versus issues requiring intervention.

Weave does not replace existing network monitoring infrastructure but positions itself as a topology intelligence layer that enhances existing tools. The agent identifies specific network segments or nodes requiring attention, allowing traditional monitoring tools to focus their analysis efforts more effectively. Initial deployment results demonstrate measurable improvements in both accuracy and operational efficiency, with anomaly detection accuracy improving from 80% to 94% in one enterprise deployment.

Looking forward, Articul8 plans to expand the agent-based approach beyond individual network topology analysis, aiming to develop collaborative agent systems that can address complex multi-domain infrastructure challenges.
