Dirty Business is a first-person crime business sim for PC from Plan Dirty Games, available on Steam.
You start with a hidden underground hangar and one job: build a criminal empire from nothing. Produce drugs, craft weapons, print counterfeit money, then move product through the city before someone else muscles in.
The production and distribution loop is what carries the whole game. You hire workers to grow, cook, and manufacture, then choose how to move product, small elevator runs, front company vehicles, or a secret cartel airstrip for the big orders. Every upgrade to your base opens up more of that loop at once.
Dirty Business launched on July 22, 2026, on Windows 10 and 11 (Early Access at the time of this writing). It plays solo or in co-op with up to 4 friends.

What Is Dirty Business?
Dirty Business is a first-person crime business simulator from Plan Dirty Games, a small independent studio. You start out running a hidden underground hangar beneath the city, and your job is to turn it into a full criminal operation. That means producing and selling drugs, crafting weapons, and printing counterfeit money, then figuring out how to get it all to customers without getting caught.
Distribution is where the game opens up. Small and medium orders go up an elevator to street level, larger shipments move through front company vehicles, and your biggest orders go out through a secret cartel airstrip that reaches distant parts of the city and beyond. You can handle deliveries yourself or hire street dealers to do it for you, freeing you up to focus on production.
Everything scales as you go. You hire workers to grow plants, cook chemical drugs, and manufacture weapons, then reinvest profits into upgrading your base, unlocking new production rooms, and eventually opening an underground garage to support a larger distribution fleet. You can run the whole thing solo or split the work with up to 4 friends in co-op.

🎮 Our Take
Dirty Business has landed with Mostly Positive reviews, and the core loop explains why: it takes the familiar tycoon-management formula and gives it a genuinely fresh coat of paint by leaning into the crime setting instead of running a coffee shop or a farm. The distribution layer is the most interesting part, since choosing between elevator runs, front vehicles, and the cartel airstrip forces real decisions about risk and scale rather than just clicking a sell button. Expect some rough patches, players are already flagging bugs like characters getting stuck and inconsistent UI feedback in early discussions.
If you enjoy management sims and don’t mind some early rough edges, this is worth grabbing now, especially if you have a friend or two to split the workload with. If you’d rather wait for a more polished build, keep it wishlisted and check back later.

Tips for Getting Started
Focus on one product line before spreading out
Trying to run drugs, weapons, and counterfeit money all at once early on spreads your workers and cash too thin. Get one production chain profitable first, then expand.
Hire workers before you’re overwhelmed, not after
It’s tempting to run everything yourself early to save money, but hiring workers ahead of demand keeps production moving instead of stalling out while you catch up.
Match your distribution method to the order size
Small elevator runs are fine for early orders, but save the cartel airstrip for your biggest shipments. Using it for small orders wastes time and resources you don’t need to spend yet.
Reinvest profits into base upgrades early
Sitting on cash slows you down. Putting profit back into your base and unlocking new production rooms compounds faster than saving up for a single big purchase.
Check for updates before a session
Plan Dirty Games ships regular updates. A quick check before you play can save confusion if something changed since your last session.
