Microsoft announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5761 to the Dev Channel. This build includes several new features, improvements, and fixes that are being gradually rolled out to Windows Insiders. One of the notable features is the ability to seamlessly resume using favorite apps from Android phones on Windows 11 PCs. This feature is starting with Spotify, allowing users to continue listening to music or podcasts from where they left off on their Android device.

To use this feature, users need to have the Link to Windows app on their Android phone and connect it to their Windows 11 PC. They can then open Spotify on their phone, start playing a track, and receive a resume alert on their PC’s taskbar. Clicking on the alert will open the Spotify desktop app and continue playing the track. If the Spotify app is not installed on the PC, clicking on the alert will initiate a one-click installation from the Microsoft Store.

In addition to the seamless resume feature, the new build also includes improved battery iconography on the lock screen. The new battery icons are designed to communicate the battery status of the PC with a quick glance. Other changes and improvements in the build include updates to Click to Do, Agent in Settings, and Automatic Super Resolution.

The build also includes several fixes for issues reported by Windows Insiders, such as improvements to the performance of loading the apps list on the Apps & Installed apps page and fixes for issues with Windows Hello and Settings. Furthermore, the build introduces a new keyboard shortcut to insert an En dash or Em dash while typing anywhere in Windows.

As with any new build, there are some known issues that Microsoft is aware of and is working to resolve. These include issues with Recall, File Explorer, and Xbox Controllers. Windows Insiders can provide feedback on these issues and others through the Feedback Hub.

The release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26200.5761 is part of Microsoft’s ongoing efforts to improve and refine the Windows 11 experience. The company continues to roll out new features and updates to Windows Insiders, who play a crucial role in testing and providing feedback on these changes. As the development of Windows 11 continues, Microsoft will likely release more builds with new features and improvements, and Windows Insiders will be the first to experience these changes.
