Slay the Spire 2 is a roguelike card game for PC from Mega Crit, available now on Steam. You build a deck from scratch each run, fight turn-based encounters, and try to reach the top of a procedurally generated spire. Every card offer, every relic, and every path choice is yours to make.
The catch: if you die before completing your run, you start over with nothing. No saved progress. No carried cards. The next run gives you a different map, different card offers, and different enemies. You get better by learning what works and what does not.
The sequel adds co-op for up to 4 players (new to the series), two new characters, and a deeper lore system. It was released on March 5, 2026, in Early Access, and runs on Windows 10 and Windows 11.

What is Slay the Spire 2?
Slay the Spire 2 is the sequel to Mega Crit’s 2019 hit roguelike deckbuilder. After 1,000 years dormant, the Spire has reopened. Each run, you choose a character, build a deck from scratch by picking cards after each combat, and fight your way to the top of a procedurally generated tower.
No two runs play the same. The cards you are offered, the enemies you face, the relics you find, and the path you choose all change with every attempt. When you die, you start over with a fresh deck. The goal is to figure out what works, learn the systems, and climb further each time.
The sequel brings five playable characters (three returning from the original, two new), a new co-op mode for up to 4 players, new enemies, new relics, and a lore system built around discoverable timeline fragments. The core loop is the same, but there is meaningfully more to explore.
