Microsoft announced the release of Windows 11 Insider Preview Build 26220.6690 (KB5065786) to the Dev Channel for Windows Insiders on Windows 11, version 25H2. This build introduces several changes and improvements, including new features and fixes that are being gradually rolled out to Insiders who have turned on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available.

One of the notable changes is the introduction of translation powered by Microsoft Copilot in Click to Do. This feature allows users to translate on-screen text with just a few clicks. When a user selects text that is in a different language from their Windows display language or preferred language settings, a translation suggestion will appear. The selected text is sent to the Copilot app, which provides the translation seamlessly within the experience.

Another change is the ability to share windows with Copilot from the taskbar. When a user mouses over an opened app window on the taskbar, they will see an option to share with Copilot. This allows users to quickly start a new conversation with Copilot and use Copilot Vision to scan, analyze, and offer insights on what is shown on their screen from that app at that time.

The build also includes changes to the Desktop Spotlight feature. Users can now click on their desktop and see options to learn more about the background image or switch to the next desktop background. Additionally, the Settings app has been refreshed to make it easier to add or manage all accounts in one place.

Microsoft has also fixed several issues, including a problem where File Explorer may become unresponsive if a UNC server name was directly typed into the address bar. Another issue that has been fixed is the failure of installing the latest builds due to error 0x80070002. Audio issues that some users were experiencing after updates have also been resolved.

However, there are still some known issues with the build, including a problem with launching Click to Do on the primary display via right-edge gesture, which results in the swipe visuals appearing on the incorrect display. Another issue is with the media controls not displaying on the lock screen. Microsoft is investigating these issues and working on a fix.

The new build is available to Windows Insiders in the Dev Channel, who can turn on the toggle to get the latest updates as they are available. Microsoft notes that features and experiences included in these builds may never get released as they try out different concepts and get feedback. Some features may change over time, be removed, or replaced and never get released beyond Windows Insiders.

The release of this build is part of Microsoft’s ongoing effort to improve and refine Windows 11. The company is continually gathering feedback from Windows Insiders and making changes to ensure that the final product meets the needs of its users. As the development process continues, users can expect to see more changes and improvements to Windows 11.
