As part of the Windows Insider Program, Microsoft is rolling out an updated version of the Copilot app, available exclusively on the Microsoft Store. This latest update brings a native XAML app and a new user interface, designed to improve the overall user experience.
The new UI features a side panel where users can start a new conversation and access their conversation history, making it easier to manage and track their interactions with the Copilot app. Additionally, the update includes AI-powered search capabilities, allowing users to ask questions about their PC, such as "How do I set up a Bluetooth headset on this device?" and receive tailored responses based on their current Windows version.
For IT professionals and power users, the new Copilot app is a game-changer. It provides quick access to Windows setup and troubleshooting information, making it easier to resolve common issues and stay productive. The app also supports the popular Alt + Space hotkey, allowing users to quickly access the Copilot app across all PCs, as well as the Copilot+ key for those using a Copilot+ PC.
The Copilot app update (version 1.25023.101.0 and higher) is being rolled out to all Insider Channels via the Microsoft Store, but note that it’s a gradual rollout, and not all Insiders will receive the update immediately.
To provide feedback, users can file their comments in the Feedback Hub under Apps > Copilot or directly within the Copilot app by clicking on their profile icon and choosing "Give feedback". The Windows Insider Program Team is eager to hear from users to ensure that the new Copilot app meets the needs of the Windows community.
Stay tuned for more updates on this story, and keep an eye on the Microsoft Store for the latest version of the Copilot app.
