The Developer’s Guide to Azure is a free 80-page ebook from Microsoft, available here as a PDF, ePub or Mobi. It gives developers and architects a fast tour of Azure: where to run code, where to store data, how to secure an app and how to add AI.
It is short and practical. Five walk-throughs take you from the Azure portal to a web app with a database, then to production. It is a quick read for an afternoon.
Published by Microsoft in August 2018, written by developers for developers.

Read This First: This Book Is From 2018
An old edition, kept for readers who still want it
This edition dates from August 2018. The overall map of Azure still helps, but many service names in it have changed, and a few services it recommends have been retired. Use it for the big picture, not for exact steps.
Our guides to Azure AI Search and Azure Monitor cover two of the services from the book as they work today.
